Job summary

Arup is seeking a Civil Design Engineer – Hydrology & Hydraulics in the Manila area. You will support master planning, feasibility studies, and both preliminary and detailed design focusing on hydrology, hydraulics, water resources, and drainage systems.

You will contribute to site layouts, grading, utility networks and multi-disciplinary coordination, working in a hybrid setup with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer; MSc/PhD in Civil Engineering advantageous.
• 5–8 years in general civil engineering with hydrology, hydraulics and drainage.
• Strong ability to prepare high-quality H&H reports and present technical findings clearly.
• Experience across linear infrastructure, water, energy, marine/coastal and large-site development.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, OpenRoads, ArcGIS, HecRAS/HMS, Water/SewerGEMS, InfoWorks-ICM.
• Excellent communication and ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support master planning, feasibility studies and site development engineering.
• Prepare hydrology, hydraulics reports and drainage calculations.
• Design culverts, channels, detention/retention systems and outlet structures.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Produce civil drawings and technical documentation; report progress to PM.
• Conduct site visits and contribute to project master planning and design.
