Job summary
AECOM is seeking a Hydraulic Specialist to join the Water team in the Philippines. You will play a senior technical role, leading small teams to deliver hydraulic analysis of clean water and wastewater facilities for UK projects.
Primary focus is hydraulic modelling of treatment facilities, with opportunities to work on wider plant and civils design projects. You will calibrate models, develop solutions, and present findings to clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in open channel hydraulic design with subcritical/supercritical flow and hydraulic jumps.
- Experience with hydraulic structures design (weirs, flumes).
- Gravity and pressure pipe design experience.
- Experience developing hydraulic models and calculations for various plant sizes.
- Experience with hydraulic modelling scenarios.
- Registered Engineer is required.
Responsibilities
- Set up HADES models for treatment plant infrastructure.
- Calibrate models with physical data.
- Explore hydraulic modelling scenarios.
- Develop hydraulic solutions and present findings to clients.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and prepare design drawings.
- Produce high-quality technical reports documenting assumptions and results.
- Engage with clients and manage project delivery within budget.
