Job summary

HTU is seeking a Hydraulic Modeller in the Philippines to develop and calibrate hydraulic network models using InfoWorks ICM and allied software. You will support catchment-level assessments for foul, storm, and combined systems, run scenarios, and analyze outputs for capacity and performance, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across time zones.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level civil/environmental or related engineering degree.
Experience in hydraulic, drainage, flood risk, hydrology or water infrastructure work.
Working knowledge of hydraulic modelling software (InfoWorks ICM preferred).
Able to interpret GIS data, rainfall and flow monitoring data.
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to model inputs/outputs.
Excellent written and spoken English communication.
Ability to collaborate across time zones and adhere to project standards.

Responsibilities

Develop, update, calibrate, and verify hydraulic network models using InfoWorks ICM or similar software.
Support catchment-level and local network assessments for foul, storm, and combined sewer systems.
Run model scenarios and analyze outputs like flood, spill, surcharge, capacity, and performance.
Support model build and maintenance: GIS data review, system checks, sub-catchment analysis, asset validation.
Prepare hydraulic layers, maps, model outputs, and deliverables for senior staff review.
Review rainfall, asset, GIS, SCADA, CCTV, and survey data to support modelling assessments.
Prepare notes, figures, maps, and documentation in clear English for project teams and clients.
Collaborate with engineers, planners, environmental specialists, GIS specialists, and survey teams.
Contribute to modelling process improvements, standard workflows, and project documentation.
Raise data gaps, model confidence issues, delivery risks, and technical queries promptly.
