Job summary

MHP International Construction Corporation seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead HV/EHV substation design and related studies in a fast-paced project environment in Metro Manila. You will own design packages, supervise junior engineers, and interface with clients to ensure grid-code compliance and successful energization.

The role requires a PE/PEE license, 7+ years of HV experience, and mastery of ETAP/SKM/PSCAD.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS a plus
• 7+ years in HV substation design and protection & control
• PE/PEE license required to sign/seal designs

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for HV/EHV substation design packages, ensuring compliance with grid codes and interconnection agreements
• Oversee and approve complex power system studies, including harmonic analysis, arc flash, TRV, and relay coordination
• Perform QA and peer reviews of engineering deliverables, schematics, and equipment specs
• Manage schedules, scope, design budgets, and cross-discipline coordination with civil, structural, and project management teams
• Represent the company in technical workshops, client design reviews, and grid-code compliance meetings
• Provide high-level oversight during site construction, testing, energization, and commissioning phases
• Guide and review work of entry- and mid-level electrical engineers
