Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr. Primary Design Engineer in Manila to deliver high voltage primary engineering for transmission and distribution systems (22kV to 500kV). You will mentor engineers, lead project packages, and ensure designs meet schedule and budget while maintaining client trust.

The role requires strong CAD skills (Microstation, AutoCAD), excellent communication across geographies, and a proven track record in delivering projects on time with quality results.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• HV primary electrical engineering experience for transmission/distribution.
• CAD proficiency with Microstation and AutoCAD.
• Strong cross-geography communication and leadership.
• Ability to deliver on time and budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop primary engineering deliverables including substation layout design, clearances, short circuit calculations, lighting calculations, and earthing.
• Lead engineers on defined project packages, delivering on time and budget.
• Provide technical direction to design teams and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Manage and undertake technical reviews of deliverables.
• Attend project and client meetings and contribute to proposals.
