Job summary

Arup is seeking an experienced highway design engineer to lead road alignment design for major urban and rural projects. You will create high-quality 3D models using the 12d Model software and guide junior designers through delivery of design documentation.

You will develop and lead technical solutions, support learning/development of alignment staff, and ensure models and drawings comply with industry standards and project requirements. A collaborative, values-driven environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in civil/traffic engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of road alignment design and standards (mentioned in the role).
• Experience with 12d Model software and BIM workflows.
• Experience leading designers and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead road alignment design for major highways and local roads.
• Prepare high-quality 3D models using the 12d Model software.
• Delegate to, direct, and review works by junior designers and engineers.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders and other disciplines to deliver design solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and project requirements.
