Job summary

GCash is seeking a senior governance professional to oversee regulatory compliance, board governance, and strategic governance initiatives. The role focuses on ensuring accurate reporting, policy maintenance, and timely support to regulators and executives.

The ideal candidate has a Juris Doctor and extensive corporate law experience, with strong English skills and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. Lead and grow the Corporate Affairs team within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Must have Juris Doctor degree and be in good standing as a lawyer.
• 9 years of work experience as a lawyer.
• At least 5 years of experience in corporate services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise compliance with regulatory requirements and prepare responses for regulators, auditors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee end-to-end Board and Committee meeting processes: notices, agendas, materials, resolutions, and minutes.
• Draft, review and maintain governance policies, charters, and governance frameworks; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide timely support to internal and external parties, including document requests and governance services.
• Lead cross-functional governance initiatives, license applications, remediation programs, and governance transformation projects.
• Offer opinions and governance advice to Management and Boards on queries.
• Develop and coach Corporate Affairs and Governance teams to meet service levels and quality standards.
