Job summary

WRS Health is seeking a Sr. Accountant to support the Director of Finance in overseeing our global accounting operations and ensuring GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

The role manages payroll, invoicing, and day-to-day accounting activities while driving process improvements and strategic insights. This hands-on position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration across teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; MBA preferred.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing global payroll and multi-entity accounting environments.
• Advanced knowledge of general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial close processes.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks or similar platforms; QuickBooks experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition, billing systems, and sales operations alignment.
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as Bitwage, Wise, Deel, and Payoneer.
• Deep understanding of international payroll operations, contractor payments, and currency management.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to executive leadership.
• High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a hands-on environment.
• Experience in SaaS, healthcare, or technology-driven organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee global accounting operations with GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close, GL management, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Strengthen policies, controls, and internal processes to mitigate risk.
• Provide insights to support leadership and strategic decisions.
• Oversee global payroll across multiple jurisdictions and optimize payroll platforms.
• Ensure compliance with international payroll regulations and tax requirements.
• Oversee client invoicing, revenue tracking, and revenue recognition.
• Align contracts, CRM data, invoicing, and revenue reporting with Sales and Operations.
