Job summary

Avensys Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Accountant – General Ledger to join its Finance Team in optimizing the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. You will own GL activities, support month-end closes, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with global stakeholders to strengthen internal controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy required.
• Minimum 5 years of combined experience in General Accounting, General Ledger, Financial Reporting, and/or Audit.
• Experience supporting month-end close, preparing and posting journal entries, and performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate discrepancies and drive resolutions.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Month-End Close: manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and post journal entries.
• Reconciliations & Financial Analysis: perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Improvement: coordinate with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to improve reporting quality.
• Provide audit support with schedules, reconciliations, and documentation as needed.
