Job summary

Deel is hiring a senior software engineer to build high-quality, scalable web applications for a global audience. You will work primarily with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Express, designing robust APIs, data models, and front-end components in a remote-first setting.

You will optimize PostgreSQL schemas, contribute to testing strategies with Jest/Mocha/Cypress, and collaborate across diverse teams to deliver value for Deel’s platform and customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Full-Stack experience with backend focus.
• TypeScript-focused development across frontend and backend.
• Strong collaboration in a remote-first culture.
• Ability to own projects and work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, responsive web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Express.
• Design and implement server-side APIs, data models, and business logic with Express.
• Create client-side React components, hooks, and tests to consume server APIs.
• Build and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries.
• Create modular front- and back-end components for maintainability and scalability.
• Perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure quality.
• Stay updated on web dev trends and propose improvements to processes.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Communicate progress and solutions effectively to team and stakeholders.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of development methodologies and tools.
