Job summary

True North Insights in Manila seeks a highly experienced Staff Full-Stack Engineer to own end-to-end development of our web-based database application. You will design backend services with Java/Spring, evolve data models, and deliver front-end features with production readiness.

This hybrid role requires coordinating with Product and Operations, and participating in a New York-focused support rotation. You will mentor engineers and help shape engineering standards across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Typically 8+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent Staff-level ownership.
• Deep experience with backend development and database-driven web applications.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of major product features from design to deployment and support.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring.
• Maintain and evolve database architecture and data models for performance and scale.
• Develop front-end features with a production-ready quality, collaborating with Product.
• Contribute to production monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements.
• Mentor and review code for backend, frontend and platform engineers.
