Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in Taguig is seeking a hands-on senior engineer for a GenAI application team. You will do the hard technical work directly, set the standard by example, and raise team capability through mentorship.

You will own production incident response across the full stack, productionalize code, and guide technical standards through reviews. The role requires 2–3 days onsite weekly in a hybrid setup in Taguig.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping production GenAI applications at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on with LLM orchestration patterns (RAG, agents, MCP).
• Proficient in React/TypeScript on frontend and Python on backend.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (ECS, Bedrock, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Aurora PostgreSQL).
• Proven production debugging across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• DevOps depth: deployment pipelines, environment configuration, observability.
• Experience mentoring or leading developers through code reviews and pairing.

It is a senior engineer or tech lead who does the hard technical work directly, sets the standard by example, and raises the capability of the team through guidance and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Drive complex, high‑stakes features end to end across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, making the architecture decisions and breaking the work into achievable pieces for the team.
• Own production incident response across the full stack. Read logs, telemetry, and traces independently and drive root cause to resolution in hours, not days.
• Productionalize the codebase: refactor fragile patterns into production‑grade code, harden deployment paths, and tighten observability.
• Set and enforce the technical standard through reference implementations and PR reviews.
• Guide and mentor the team through pairing, code review, and design discussion, elevating production engineering practices over time.

• Shipped and supported production GenAI applications at enterprise scale, not only proof‑of‑concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM orchestration patterns: RAG, agents, and MCP.

Additional Information

• hybrid set‑up, 2x-3x a week onsite, mid shift (2:00PM-12:00NN), 45hours a week
• Taguig
