This role shapes technical strategy, architectural direction, and collaboration with product and growth teams. You thrive in event-driven, distributed architectures, writing clean, observable, and resilient code while driving key projects from design through production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional full stack development experience and leadership in system design.
• Proven ability to define architectural principles and drive engineering best practices.
• Experience with trade-offs between scalability, performance, cost, and maintainability.
• Strong data modeling and schema design skills.
• Proficiency in Node.js and building production microservices.
• Experience with MongoDB and API design.
• Experience with event-driven architectures using AWS SNS/SQS.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools.
• Experience writing tests across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system design for high-scale backend platforms, from requirements through implementation.
• Define architectural principles and engineering best practices.
• Design data models and ensure they evolve with the product.
• Develop and maintain full stack features across React/Angular frontends and Node.js backends.
• Build RESTful and event-driven APIs for internal and partner use.
• Work with MongoDB to design schemas and optimize queries.
• Maintain event-driven workflows using AWS SNS and SQS.
• Instrument services with monitoring, dashboards, and distributed tracing.
• Investigate and resolve complex bugs from UI to service layer.
• Collaborate with product and growth teams on initiatives and experiments.
• Plan features, manage tasks, and participate in code reviews.
