Job summary

BEL USA LLC in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable systems across the full tech stack, including front-end, back-end, APIs, and data stores. The role emphasizes secure, reliable features for internal and external users and collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript, including architecture, state management, data-fetching patterns, forms, accessibility, profiling, and testing.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs, asynchronous patterns, and scalable back-end services.
• Strong foundation in web fundamentals: HTTP, caching, security headers/CSP, OAuth/OIDC, secure coding.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL database design, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to ship reliable, observable, maintainable software and collaborate with Product and Design teams.
• Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking abilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build modern eCommerce services as part of a scalable, secure, and AI-driven platform.
• Develop front-end interfaces using React or similar frameworks, ensuring accessibility, responsiveness, and high performance.
• Implement and maintain APIs and services (REST/GraphQL), data models, and background workers with robust error handling.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices with scalability, maintainability, and reliability in mind.
• Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL database schemas, queries, and performance.
• Own the entire software delivery lifecycle, including technical design, coding, code review, automated testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code (unit, integration, end-to-end) aligned with engineering standards.
• Instrument applications with metrics, logs, and traces; contribute to effective alerting, dashboards, and runbooks.
• Design with security and privacy in mind (input validation, authN/authZ, performance budgets).
• Participate in an on-call rotation and lead post-incident reviews to implement sustainable improvements.
• Partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders; communicate tradeoffs, risks, and timelines with clarity.
• Contribute to a healthy review culture through constructive feedback, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
• Write concise design docs and tickets that enable shared understanding and predictable delivery.
