Job summary

KMC Solutions in the Philippines is seeking a senior Full Stack Developer to build a next-generation booking platform for global customers. You will work across front-end and back-end using React.js and Laravel/PHP, design scalable RESTful APIs, and integrate third-party services in a cloud-based environment with AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices.

• Familiarity with DDD and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, and clean code practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in booking/travel tech is a plus but not required.

Position Summary:

As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in developing a next-generation booking platform that supports transportation and accommodation services for global customers. You'll work across both front-end and back-end technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement new features across both front-end and back-end applications using React.js and Laravel/PHP.
• Build scalable software solutions and contribute to the development of a new booking platform from the ground up.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party systems and services.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to refine user stories and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot software issues, resolve bugs, and continuously improve application performance and reliability.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality and stability.
• Participate in code reviews and promote clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
• Work within a cloud-based environment utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to build scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Identify and address technical debt while continuously improving existing systems and development practices.
• Contribute to technical discussions and communicate design decisions effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field.
• At least 5-10 years of professional experience in Full Stack Software Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js for front-end development.
• Solid experience with Laravel and PHP for back-end development.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes (K8s), microservices, and high-availability SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including automated testing, code reviews, clean code principles, and software design patterns.
• Experience troubleshooting complex applications, resolving production issues, and addressing technical debt.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within an Agile environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience developing booking platforms, travel technology, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), or similar transportation or hospitality platforms is highly preferred but not required.
• Experience working with macOS as a primary development environment is an advantage.
