National Instruments Philippines Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Developer in Mandaluyong to take technical ownership of enterprise web applications.

You will design scalable backend services with Node.js, deliver mobile-friendly React PWA front-ends, and guide MongoDB data architecture decisions within Emerson's Lifecycle Services IT organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of full-stack web development experience with Node.js backend and React frontend delivery.
• Expert-level proficiency in building and operating production Node.js services with Express.js or NestJS.
• Deep expertise in React development, including component architecture, hooks, state management, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience architecting and shipping Progressive Web Applications (PWA).
• Strong experience with MongoDB data modeling, aggregation, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing, documenting, and governing REST APIs with authentication patterns and versioning.
• Familiarity with Git branching strategies and CI/CD pipelines; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex full-stack features, owning data model, API contracts, and React PWA front-end implementation.
• Architect and build scalable Node.js backend services and RESTful APIs; define authentication, error handling, and performance patterns.
• Lead PWA architecture decisions, including service workers, offline-first caching, push notifications, and installability.
• Design MongoDB data models and aggregation strategies; guide data architecture decisions across the team.
• Deliver mobile-friendly React front-end interfaces with responsive design and performance tuning.
• Drive code quality through standards, reviews, and reduction of technical debt.
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers via code reviews and pair programming.
• Analyze root causes of production incidents; lead profiling and optimization across Node.js, MongoDB, and React.
• Contribute to technical roadmap discussions and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint planning.
