Job summary

Staffstream is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join a global financial services client. You will own the allocation of a ~1.3 billion cost base across the organization, supporting a major business group with FP&A leadership.

You will produce monthly management reporting, analyse variances, and partner with Australian stakeholders. The role emphasizes clear communication, data analysis, and process improvement in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting or finance, FP&A-focused.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Experience in financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cost modelling.
• Clear communication; regularly present to Australian stakeholders.
• Ability to work with complex datasets in a matrixed environment.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with cost management and BI tools.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with ability to see the bigger picture.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management reporting on cost base and business recoveries.
• Review month-end cost base for technology service areas, analysing variances month-on-month and against forecast.
• Provide clear analysis and commentary on what moved and why.
• Identify adjusting entries with the Financial Control team and ensure completeness of journal entries, especially tech cost accruals.
• Join regular financial meetings with stakeholders to review month-end results, forecasts, budget build, and billable rates.
• Communicate directly with Australia-based stakeholders; this is a regular part of the job.
• Spot opportunities to improve and simplify existing processes.
• Support ad hoc requests and team initiatives as needed.
