Job summary

State Street in the Philippines seeks a Finance Controller professional to lead legal entity and BU controllership, ensuring accurate financial results and robust internal controls. You will coordinate monthly closes with Global Close/FP&A and partner with tax and audit teams on regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, banking experience, and deep knowledge of local reporting. Collaboration with SEA entities and treasury functions will be integral to success.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with relevant Finance Controller experience in a bank.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with local reporting requirements.
• Fast learner, proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Oracle or SUN accounting systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Reporting into the Financial Controller & Treasurer based in Philippines.
• Responsible for all aspects of legal entity and BU Controllership for the Philippine entity to ensure accuracy of financial results and that all internal controls are appropriately designed and executed.
• Coordinate with Global Close and Consolidation team on monthly close cycle process for accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide support to the Financial Controller & Treasurer based in Philippines for all in-country Finance matters.
• Provide support for other SEA entities' Finance matters as required.
• Assist the Financial Controller with governance decks and committee materials.
• Ensure local tax compliance and coordinate with tax agents on filings and updates.
• Support external audit and internal controls remediation efforts.
