Job summary

We Connect HR Solutions OPC is seeking a Senior Finance professional to oversee financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial information across the organization.

You will lead month-end and year-end close, prepare financial statements, and drive internal control improvements while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing financial statements and IFRS/GAAP compliance
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, close processes and internal controls
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis tools knowledge
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex financial information
• Leadership capability with experience supervising accounting staff
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting, reporting and analysis functions
• Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and consolidation schedules
• Perform financial analysis and variance investigations for management insights
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process
• Identify and implement accounting system/workflow improvements
