Job summary

ams OSRAM is seeking a Test Development Engineer to define and optimize HW test equipment and test programs for new products. The role involves IC testing with ATE systems and coordinating with multiple engineering teams to secure first silicon samples and a smooth transfer to manufacturing.

You will work on characterization, temperature tests, and reproducibility studies to ensure a robust test solution for high-volume production in a semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Microelectronics or measurement engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in the semiconductor industry with strong IC testing background.
• Experience with ATE equipment and test methodologies.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes (DFT, 8D, TFMEA).

Responsibilities

• Define HW test equipment use and setup for new products under development.
• Perform test programs, HW characterization over temperature and product qualification.
• Collaborate with Design, NPI, Test Sustaining and Test Production to ensure on-time silicon samples.
• Lead Repeatability and Reproducibility studies to transfer tests to high-volume manufacturing.

Job description

We are LSP – Light Sensors & Photonics, one of three business units within ams OSRAM, advancing the digitalization of light. At LSP, we go beyond traditional sensing—combining light, silicon, and system expertise to enable digital photonics solutions. • Support the Test Development Engineer throughout the whole phase of the Test Development process. He/She is responsible in the overall definition of HW Test Equipment use and setup (Wafer-Prober, Tester, Test-Handler, Thermostream, Oscilloscopes, Etc.) for new products under development.
• He/She shall perform test program, Test HW characterization over temperature (Ex. Shmoo analysis), GRR, Correlation, setup calibration and product qualification in compliance with new product requirement checklists.
• Close cooperation with the Design team, Product engineering, NPI, Test Sustaining, Test Production, Etc. to ensure on time delivery of first silicon samples to the customers with the end goal of a product design win.
• Drive and perform the Repeatability and Reproducibility Studies which are necessary to transfer a test solution from an in-house development site or from other development sites to a full manufacturing high volume setup.

• Bachelor’s Degree in the areas of Electrical, Electronics, Microelectronics & measurement engineering
• Minimum 3 years working experience in the semiconductor industry & has Strong IC Testing background using ATE equipment (LTX/ Fusion EX, Diamond-X , Handlers such as SRM rotary machines and Multi-test handlers.)
• In depth knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing Process (DFT, 8D, TFMEA, Etc.)
• Expertise in semiconductor test methodology (Ex. Analog & Mixed Signal Testing, Sensor test, Etc.)
• Knowledge in software coding, debug & electronics circuit design
