The Network Engineer provides strategic input on IT infrastructure, aligning it with zero-trust architectures and cloud security models.Additionally, this role collaborates with technology teams to implement best practices for network administration, security, and performance optimization while supporting mission-critical operations and long-term business objectives.**Key responsibilities for this role include:**Network Administration & Support:* Design, configure, and manage Cisco-based network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.* Deploy and maintain Cisco VPN solutions, ensuring secure remote connectivity.* Optimize routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP for efficient traffic management.* Oversee the administration of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and network access control.* Implement and support SASE solutions to ensure secure, cloud-delivered networking. Security & Compliance* Implement and maintain firewall policies and network security controls to protect against threats.* Work with security teams to integrate Cisco SASE solutions for a secure hybrid work environment.* Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data protection and regulatory requirements.* Enhance Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) frameworks using SASE components. Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization* Conduct root cause analysis of network issues and implement resolutions.* Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using Cisco Prime Infrastructure, SolarWinds, or similar tools.* Perform firmware updates, patches, and system upgrades as needed.
