Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking engineers who design software solutions that scale for high-traffic, customer-facing websites and complex mobile apps. You will collaborate with tech leads to optimize engineering practices and contribute to cloud-based, distributed applications.

Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, Agile environments, and mentoring junior engineers is required. Strong background in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, TypeScript and React.js is highly valued for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work within Agile teams to deliver iterative improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and tech transformation.
• Utilize relational and non-relational databases as needed.

• Proven expertise in C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.


• Familiarity with TypeScript and React.js.


• Hands-on experience with building distributed cloud-based applications.


• Knowledge of Node.js is advantageous but not required.


• Strong background in long-term technology transformation projects, particularly in breaking down monolithic applications into modular components, is highly valued.

Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in at least one programming language and tech stack


• Understands shift-left testing and how to implement it in practice


• Familiar with Functional and Object Oriented programming


• Familiar with Document and Relational data persistence models


• Familiar with Cloud Design patterns


• Familiar with TDD, BDD and Domain Driven design


• Familiar with synchronous (API) and async (Messaging) integration patterns


• Familiar with modern Application Security Practices (OWASP)

Education And Certifications

• Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering related field
