Job summary

Q2 HR Solutions in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer with business-level Japanese to drive embedded development projects and coordinate with Japanese stakeholders. The role requires leadership in project coordination, negotiation, and reporting, with potential long-term assignment in Japan and full relocation support according to company policy.

You will bridge teams in the Philippines and Japan, oversee timelines, ensure quality, mentor teammates, and present updates

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
JLPT N2 certification or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency.
Approximately 10 years of experience in embedded development.
Strong background in embedded software or firmware development.
Experience in project coordination, liaison, team leadership, or similar.

Responsibilities

Lead discussions with Japanese stakeholders on scope, deliverables, and schedules.
Coordinate requirements and activities between Philippine and Japan teams.
Review inputs/outputs to ensure project quality and requirements.
Support implementation and delivery of embedded solutions.
Prepare and present project updates to Japan-based management.
Plan daily activities of teams for Japan-related projects.
Monitor progress, timelines, and concerns; provide guidance.
Resolve technical and coordination issues between teams.
Build strong working relationships in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
