Job summary

Q2 HR Solutions is seeking a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer with business-level Japanese to drive embedded development and coordinate with Japanese stakeholders. The role may involve relocation to Japan for 1–3 years or longer with full relocation support.

This senior position blends strong technical expertise with leadership in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and reporting across cross-functional teams in the Philippines and Japan.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field
JLPT N2 or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency
Approximately 10 years of embedded development experience
Strong embedded software/firmware background
Experience in project coordination/leadership
Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese (speaking, reading, writing)

Responsibilities

Lead discussions and negotiations with Japanese stakeholders on scope, deliverables, and schedules
Coordinate requirements and activities between Philippine and Japan-based teams
Review technical inputs to ensure they meet project requirements and quality standards
Support the implementation and delivery of embedded system solutions
Prepare and present project updates to Japan-based management
Plan and oversee daily activities of teams on Japan-related projects
Monitor progress, timelines, deliverables, and risks
Provide guidance to project team members and resolve cross-team issues
