Job summary

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• 9–12 years of experience in electrical design for power transformer manufacturing.
• Knowledge of transformer electrical design, thermal, dielectrics, short-circuit and sound performance.
• Familiarity with IS/IEC/IEEE standards; Canadian standards a plus.
• Experience with order engineering and factory manufacturing processes.
• Proficient English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Influence tender and pre-tender specifications through conceptual discussions.
• Prepare electrical design quotations aligned with factory limitations, guidelines, and checklists (IEEE/IEC/IS).
• Prepare customer manufacturing and other project documents, including BOMs, per schedule.
• Coordinate design activities with a global network of factories.
• Demonstrate teamwork and networking skills across regions.
• Collaborate with international technical teams and ensure safety and integrity values.

How you'll make an impact

• The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformer design covering different countries.
• Influence specification at the tender and pre-tender stage, through conceptual discussions.
• Responsible to prepare electrical design Quotation meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / IEC /IS standards as per project schedule.
• Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule.
• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your background

• B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering.
• 9 to 12 years' experience working in Electrical design for Power Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
• Order Engineering experience is required. Deep understanding manufacturing of transformer is required.
• Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics.
• Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards/ Canadian Standards.
• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
