Job summary

You will assist in developing large-scale predictive models assessing biodiversity impacts from mining. Requirements include an undergraduate degree (or in process) in a relevant field, English at B2 level, and a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Hold or be in the process of obtaining a 1st-cycle undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• English level at least B2.
• Hold a type B driving licence.
• Be available for fieldwork and travel, including remote areas.

Responsibilities

• Conducting spatial analyses using GIS and remote sensing; map mining operations and manage geospatial databases.
• Assist in developing predictive models to evaluate mining impacts on biodiversity.
• Extract, organize, and code data from databases and literature for reviews and analyses.
• Assist in field campaigns: validate cartography, vegetation sampling, and install sensors.
• Support data organization, processing, and data quality across project activities.
• Prepare dissemination materials in English and Spanish; participate in publishing tasks.
