Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Drafter/Modeler to support the delivery of engineering design solutions for Energy & Power projects within the Power Generation team.

You will develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models, coordinate multidisciplinary models and ensure design intent meets project standards. The role requires collaboration with engineers, BIM coordinators, and project teams, and mentoring junior drafters. Hybrid work model available.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor in Engineering, Drafting Technology, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in engineering drafting and 3D modelling.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one BIM platform (Revit, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation).
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards and BIM workflows.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Drafter/Modeler to support the delivery of engineering design solutions for Energy & Power projects, working within the Power Generation team across the global region.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, OpenRoads, or other BIM platforms.
• Produce accurate engineering documentation in accordance with project requirements, standards, and quality procedures.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, BIM coordinators, and project teams to ensure design intent is accurately represented.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary models and drawings, identifying and resolving clashes and design conflicts.
• Review drafting and modelling outputs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and client standards.
• Support BIM execution and digital delivery initiatives across various projects.
• Mentor junior drafters and modelers and provide technical guidance when required.
• Contribute to project delivery by meeting established schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.

Here's what you'll need

• Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Drafting Technology, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in engineering drafting and 3D modelling within infrastructure, transportation, water, buildings, or other relevant sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one major BIM/modelling platform (Revit, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, or similar).
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and BIM workflows.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
