Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver consultancy services across HV, LV and control disciplines. You will work with teams in the US to produce detailed designs and construction-phase services, applying NEC and IEEE standards across energy, resources, rail, water and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 20 years' experience with at least 10 years in lead/managerial position in consulting.
• Proven leadership in project delivery, client engagement, and business development.
• Expertise in Control & Protection configurations and infrastructure power systems.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring engineers.
• Knowledge and application of NEC, IEEE, Philippine Electrical Codes and other standards.

• Develop Electrical Engineering opportunities and coordinate teams to deliver Energy and Power Services.
• Lead Infrastructure Power representation linking to energy and power generation for bids and delivery.

• Support Project Managers and Clients to manage risk, HSE compliance and quality.
• Mentor and develop engineers to grow Jacobs offering in areas of specialty.

Your impact

As part of our Global Delivery Center (GDC), you’ll be at the heart of delivering high-impact energy and power projects across the globe. We’re seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver consultancy services in the fields of Electrical Engineering, operating across the range of HV, LV and Control engineering discipline services. You will apply your experience in Power Utilities, Resources, Rail, Water, Defence, Industrial and Renewable Power sectors. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside design team members in the United States to produce detailed design documents and perform construction phase engineering services.

Responsibilities Include

• Coordinate, lead and provide technical inputs to support business development and project delivery
• Develop Electrical Engineering opportunities and coordinate teams to deliver Energy and Power Services in various Cross Sectors
• Be an Infrastructure Power Representative linking into the Energy and Power Generation Business to coordinate and support major bids and project delivery and support the strategic development of Infrastructure Power to lead multi discipline EPCM in future
• Lead and coordinate feasibility assessments, design and construction support services in accordance with Jacobs’ systems and processes
• Support Project Managers and Clients to manage project risk, deliver on HSE requirements and drive quality assurance
• Consider and plan resource requirements to meet project pipeline expectations and collaborate with Team and Section leaders
• Participate and promote resource sharing opportunities across the global business.
• Provide project reports and progress statements
• A trusted adviser for your clients and attain work through the confidence your clients have in your technical skills and your ability to deliver what clients require for their business, on time and on budget
• Mentor and development other engineers to grow Jacobs offering in areas of specialty
• Demonstrate leadership and actively support the achievement of growth targets in sales and revenue through client interaction, preparing proposals and leadership of team members.

Here\'s what you\'ll need

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 20 years\' experience with at least 10 years of experience in a lead or managerial position a consulting industry
• Proven leadership in project delivery, client engagement, and business development
• Expertise in Control & Protection configurations and infrastructure power systems
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring engineers
• Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE, Philippine Electrical Codes and Philippine Distribution Code and other international codes and standards
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
