Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Mandaluyong is seeking a Senior Primary Design Engineer to provide technical expertise in HV primary engineering for distribution and transmission systems (22kV–500kV). The role leads design packages, mentors engineers, and delivers projects on time and within budget.

You will collaborate across disciplines and with Global Delivery Centres, building strong client relationships while supporting hybrid working arrangements and flexible project delivery worldwide.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or related.
• Demonstrated expertise in HV Primary Electrical Engineering for transmission and distribution systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as Microstation and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and practices; experience leading engineers and design teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across geographies.
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships.
• Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Developing primary engineering deliverables including substation layout design, clearances, short circuit force calculations, lighting calculations, and earthing.
• Fulfilling the role of Lead Engineer for projects within defined packages, delivering on time and budget.
• Providing technical direction to design teams, including engineers in our Global Delivery Centres Interact with and support other disciplines.
• Managing and undertaking technical reviews of deliverables.
• Attending and participating in project and client meetings.
• Contributing to proposal preparation, scope development, pricing, and occasionally lead proposal coordination.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted adviser

We are currently looking for aSr. Primary Design Engineer to provide technical expertise in High Voltage Primary Engineering managing primary design for distribution and transmission systems (22kV to 500kV). The role is expected to be a trusted advisor for clients and attain work and confidence in technical skills and ability to deliver what clients require for their business, on time and on budget. As appropriate, you will also mentor and develop other engineers to grow Jacobs offering in your area of specialty.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing primary engineering deliverables including substation layout design, clearances, short circuit force calculations, lighting calculations, and earthing
• Fulfilling the role of Lead Engineer for projects within defined packages, delivering on time and budget
• Providing technical direction to design teams, including engineers in our Global Delivery Centres Interact with and support other disciplines (civil, structural, secondary)
• Managing and undertaking technical reviews of deliverables
• Attending and participating in project and client meetings
• Contributing to proposal preparation, scope development, pricing, and occasionally lead proposal coordination
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted adviser

Here’s what you’ll need

• Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or related
