Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Piping Designer in the Philippines to develop piping layouts, 2D/3D models, and related deliverables for complex industrial facilities.

You will collaborate with Piping Leads, Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers to deliver high-quality solutions and drive best practices across projects. Required are 10+ years in piping drafting/design, 3+ years hands-on with Smart 3D and AutoCAD Plant 3D, plus strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of piping drafting/design experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Smart 3D (S3D/SP3D) experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on AutoCAD Plant 3D (AP3D) experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop piping layouts and perform 2D/3D modeling of piping systems, structures, and equipment.
• Participate in technical meetings and 3D model reviews.
• Evaluate equipment and piping arrangements to optimize constructability and installation.
• Prepare piping supports, isometrics, layouts, and Material Take-Offs (MTOs).
• Review and approve vendor drawings.
• Prepare and maintain Piping Line Lists.
• Review P&IDs for compliance with piping material specifications.
• Select special piping materials and prepare Special Procurement (SP) Item Lists.
• Ensure quality and accuracy through thorough self-checking and peer reviews.
• Identify scope changes and communicate them to project leadership.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and drafters.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, workflows, systems, and emerging technologies within the piping discipline.
• Act as a Piping Lead/Focal for small projects or support larger projects as an Assistant Lead Piping Engineer.

Your impact

We are looking for an experienced Piping Designer to join our growing project delivery team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing piping layouts, 2D/3D models, and engineering deliverables for complex industrial and advanced facilities projects.
