About the job Senior Digital/UI Designer

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior UI designer with strong digital design skills to join our creative services team. As a senior designer, your experience, impressive design talent, and relentless pursuit of quality will set the bar for our creative services team. As a digital design expert, you’ll seamlessly connect our brand and digital design systems across a variety of media, including social and digital campaigns, reports, interactive PDFs, web content, and other marketing, communications, and sales materials. As a leader in our studio, you’ll train, guide and manage other designers to do great work and operate as a high-performing team.

• You’ll create compelling and accessible visual designs and interfaces, built on the foundation of our brand and digital design systems, for a variety of marketing, digital, and other media.
• You’ll guide projects through the entire design process, from initial briefs through design and creating final deliverables for implementation
• You’ll be an expert in our digital design system, understanding its principles and implementing it effortlessly
• You’ll work closely with and often coach or train other designers in the studio, sharing ideas and insights, participating in creative reviews, and building alignment across digital and other media, helping build a positive and inspiring studio environment
• You’ll leverage studio tools to track the status of work, organizing and maintaining files and internal systems, and proactively staying ahead of any issues
• You’ll collaborate with marketing, digital and sales colleagues to understand their needs and consult on the best ways to bring them to life
• You’ll keep up to date on the latest trends in interface design, UX design, accessibility and help us continually improve our digital offerings

The Requirements

• A Bachelors degree, certificate, or equivalent practical experience in design or a related field
• 5-10 years of relevant work in a digital design firm, ad agency, creative firm or within a corporate digital team
• Expertise in design and prototyping software, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office
• An impressive portfolio showcasing your design work with an emphasis on digital products, web or mobile platforms
• Excellent design skills, especially layout, typography and color. Experience using and maintaining digital design systems and pattern libraries. Ability to understand user goals and UX patterns and translate them into highly usable and visually appealing experiences. Strong working knowledge of digital accessibility
• Have a strong command of the English language
• Passion about user-centered design and digital design systems
• A growth mindset; constantly looking for ways to grow skills, improve our processes and methods, and understand the businesses we operate in
• High attention to detail, in both the work and the workflow
• Good communication skills and the ability to break down problems and present goals and ideas clearly and concisely
• Experience leading and coaching other designers, and contributing to the growth of those around you
• The ability to juggle multiple projects, work quickly and meet deadlines
• Understanding of WCAG standards and experience designing accessible web interfaces
