Job summary

Scicom (MSC) Berhad, based in Bangsar, seeks an experienced Operation Engineer to manage and optimize cloud-native infrastructure, AI-related services, and database systems.

You will deploy, monitor, and improve Kubernetes workloads, build automation, maintain databases, and enhance observability and CI/CD workflows to ensure high availability and performance of online services. This role requires strong DevOps capabilities, Linux expertise, and Mandarin-English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Extensive DevOps and cloud-native experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes deployment, management and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience operating AI/ML systems and infrastructure.
• Strong Linux, networking, and observability tooling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Java, or Go to reduce manual workload.
• Manage databases: maintenance, performance tuning, backups and recovery.
• Build observability systems for logs, metrics, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize CI/CD workflows.
• Perform daily system checks, incident handling, and RCA.
