We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solar Design Engineer to lead the technical design and optimization of our solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. This role is responsible for delivering efficient, code-compliant, and cost-effective solar designs for residential, commercial, and utility-scale installations. The ideal candidate is experienced in solar engineering, possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and can manage complex projects from concept to construction.

• Lead the design process for solar PV systems, including site assessment, shading analysis, system sizing, equipment selection, and layout optimization.


• Develop PV stringing configurations to maximize system efficiency, comply with inverter specifications, and ensure code compliance.


• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and electrical schematics in compliance with local regulations, international standards, and industry best practices.


• Conduct energy yield simulations using software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar tools.


• Provide technical consultation to quantity surveying teams, ensuring accuracy in material take-offs, equipment specifications, and cost estimations. Conduct site inspections to verify installation feasibility, assess site conditions, and ensure design compliance during construction.


• Collaborate with the sales, procurement, and installation teams to ensure designs meet technical, budgetary, and schedule requirements.


• Review and approve structural and electrical designs prepared by junior engineers or external contractors.


• Evaluate new technologies, inverters, modules, and BOS components for potential integration into projects.


• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and environmental standards.


• Provide technical support during project execution, including site visits and resolution of design-related issues.


• Train and mentor junior engineers and CAD designers in best practices and technical skills.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering


• 3+ years of proven experience in solar PV system design, preferably in both rooftop and


• ground-mounted applications.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, SketchUp, and MS Office Suite.


• Strong expertise in PV stringing design, including voltage window calculations, current limits, and optimization for inverter MPPT inputs.


• Solid understanding of electrical codes (NEC, PEC, IEC) and relevant local building regulations.


• Familiarity with structural engineering principles and mounting system designs.


• Experience in supporting quantity surveying teams through technical consultations.


• Willingness to conduct on-site inspections as part of the design and quality assurance process.


• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.


• Professional licensure (Registered Electrical Engineer) is an advantage.
