Job summary

Orica is seeking a Specialist – Planning to support demand planning across the AusPac region. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure forecasting accuracy, data integrity, and continuous improvement of planning processes, balancing cost and service for specialised mining and civil construction products.

You will lead demand analysis, enhance forecast models, maintain IBP master data, and coordinate with sales, marketing, and supply teams to align forecasts and meet planning deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, supply chain, or related field.
• 5–7 years in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, or related field.
• Strong planning, MRP, forecasting knowledge.
• SAP systems experience; SAP S/4HANA/IBP exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand and enrich forecasts to balance accuracy with business goals.
• Improve forecast models by reviewing trends and adjusting parameters.
• Adhere to S&OP calendar and deadlines.
• Lead weekly/monthly cross-functional communications on demand risks and opportunities.
• Maintain IBP master data quality.
• Collaborate with Territory Managers, Area Business Managers, and Marketing to align forecasts.
• Coordinate between demand, commercial, and supply teams in planning cycles.
