Job summary

CoDev Philippines is seeking a data engineer to own the transformation and modeling layers of a new data warehouse project. You will leverage Google BigQuery and Dataform to design clean, scalable data models using Kimball principles, enabling accurate BI and analytics for the business.

You will lead the development of production-grade transformation pipelines, write advanced SQL, perform EDA, and ensure data quality for trusted reporting across Looker, Tableau or Power BI integrations.

Qualifications

• Kimball methodology for dimensional data warehouses.
• Dataform development, testing and deployment in production.
• Advanced SQL with window functions and joins.
• Deep BigQuery experience including performance & cost optimization.
• Knowledge of star/snowflake schemas and data marts.
• EDA to profile datasets and derive quality insights.
• BI tool integration with Looker/Tableau/Power BI.
• Experience with BQML is a plus.
• Git version control for SQL and Dataform code.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data transformation lifecycle using Dataform to deliver trusted datasets.
• Build scalable, well-documented data pipelines for reliable business reporting.
• Perform EDA to identify quality issues, understand data structures, and unlock value.
• Write performant BigQuery SQL focusing on cost and speed optimization; implement QC checks.
