Job summary

Complete Development (CoDev) is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to own the transformation and modeling layers of a new data warehouse project. This role centers on expert-level mastery of Google BigQuery (including Dataform) and Python to architect clean, reliable, and scalable data models using Kimball principles for BI and analytics.

You will build sophisticated transformation pipelines, optimize performance, and ensure data quality for trusted reporting datasets.

Qualifications

• Experience designing dimensional data warehouses using Kimball principles.
• Proven ability to design and implement Dataform-based transformation workflows.
• Advanced SQL skills including window functions, CTEs, and joins.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.
• Hands-on BigQuery experience including partitioning, clustering, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of data warehousing schemas (Star, Snowflake).
• Experience preparing data for Looker/Tableau/Power BI.
• Familiarity with ML workflows in BigQuery (BQML) is a plus.
• Git version control for SQL and Dataform projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data transformation lifecycle using Dataform to build high‑quality datasets.
• Build and maintain scalable, well‑documented data pipelines for reporting.
• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis to identify quality issues and unlock value.
• Write performant BigQuery SQL for complex queries and data manipulation.
• Implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy of reporting datasets.
