Job summary

Spin is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of data solutions. You will shape scalable, secure data architectures and mentor team members, embedding best practices across the lifecycle.

You will own end-to-end pipelines (ETL/ELT), collaborate with cross-functional teams, and enable analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives while ensuring reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of robust and scalable data pipelines, enabling efficient ingestion, processing, and storage of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and align data architectures with business needs.
• Develop and optimize data models to support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven solutions.
• Implement advanced data processing workflows, including batch, microbatch, near real-time, and realtime pipelines.
• Drive the adoption of data governance and privacy strategies, ensuring compliance across the data lifecycle.
• Design and maintain data architectures, contributing to scalability and reliability of data lakes, warehouses, and real-time platforms.
• Develop monitoring processes and data quality metrics to ensure reliability and integrity of data for decision-making.
• Contribute to all phases of the data engineering lifecycle within Agile methodologies and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain and document data architectures, processes, and workflows for continuity.
• Lead integration of APIs and external data sources, optimizing data flows.
• Manage version control and repository practices for clean, maintainable codebases.
• Promote autonomous work culture with self-management and accountability.
