Job summary

CI&T Philippines is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to act as a technical leader, mentor teammates, and own complex data solutions from design to deployment.

You will build high‑performance data pipelines using SQL, Python, PySpark, Databricks, and AWS, ensuring scalable, secure data platforms.

You will also engage with clients, support pre‑sales activities, and drive best practices through code reviews and testing across projects.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in writing complex queries, data transformation, optimization, and working with large datasets
• Python experience in data engineering, automation, data processing, and pipeline development
• Hands-on PySpark experience for distributed data processing workflows
• Databricks experience for data engineering, processing, and analytics
• Hands-on AWS experience designing and supporting cloud-based data solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of features and data pipelines with high quality standards
• Design and optimize scalable data solutions using SQL, Python, PySpark, Databricks, and AWS
• Contribute to architecture decisions and provide input for data strategy
• Establish engineering standards and testing strategies within teams
• Lead code reviews and promote a peer-review culture
• Troubleshoot complex data engineering issues and deliver innovative solutions
• Drive performance optimization for data systems ensuring scalability and reliability
• Evaluate data frameworks and cloud tools for project adoption
• Lead PoC development and risk assessments for new initiatives
• Ensure data solutions are secure and maintainable
