Spin is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of data solutions. You will shape scalable, secure data architectures and mentor team members, embedding best practices across the lifecycle.

You will own end-to-end pipelines (ETL/ELT), collaborate with cross-functional teams, and enable analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives while ensuring reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of robust and scalable data pipelines, enabling efficient ingestion, processing, and storage of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and align data architectures with business needs.
• Develop and optimize data models to support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven solutions.
• Implement advanced data processing workflows, including batch, microbatch, near real-time, and realtime pipelines.
• Drive the adoption of data governance and privacy strategies, ensuring compliance across the data lifecycle.
• Design and maintain data architectures, contributing to scalability and reliability of data lakes, warehouses, and real-time platforms.
• Develop monitoring processes and data quality metrics to ensure reliability and integrity of data for decision-making.

What We Are Looking For

• We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience to drive our data architecture, mentor talent, and deliver strategic business value.
• Cloud & Code Mastery: 5+ years of experience designing scalable data solutions with advanced, project‑proven mastery of both GCP and AWS data stacks, Python, Java, and expert SQL optimization.
• Data & Pipeline Engineering: Deep expertise in the end‑to‑end Data Engineering Lifecycle, including advanced dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and multi-format data processing (batch, real-time streaming, NoSQL, and APIs) using robust SDLC methodologies.
• Governance & Privacy: Proven track record implementing and maintaining robust Data Governance and Data Privacy strategies across complex architectures.
• Autonomy & Mentorship: Ability to operate with high autonomy, effectively socializing complex technical designs with stakeholders while actively mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
• Agile & Business Impact: Strong business acumen with experience managing projects via Agile (Scrum/Kanban), proactively mitigating risks, and directly aligning data initiatives with company OKRs.
