Job summary

HostPapa is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for CloudBlue to design and evolve a data and analytics platform with AI-driven capabilities. You will build scalable data infrastructure, embed AI in backend services, and develop data pipelines and APIs in a cloud-native SaaS environment.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, own end-to-end features, ensure data quality and observability, and drive innovation in data workloads across a global platform.

Qualifications

• Strong professional software engineering experience with data-intensive systems.
• Extensive experience building data pipelines and data models at production scale.
• Hands-on experience with Python and real-time streaming tech.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP) and containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of data contracts, data quality, observability, and production SLOs.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and AI integration into workflows.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Excellent English communication in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a high-volume, high-performance data fabric including real-time ingestion and analytics.
• Own features end to end from design to production.
• Drive AI adoption across the platform and develop AI-powered workflows.
• Design and integrate APIs connecting data, services, and workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers in cross-functional teams and with product managers.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, observability, and performance in pipelines.
