Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior Data Developer in Mandaluyong City for designing and implementing projection rules and dataflows using Python. The role is full-time with a hybrid work setup.

You will translate VB to Python, develop data pipelines, and utilize Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL to deliver end-to-end data solutions while adhering to governance standards. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a developer and/or data engineer, preferably in banking/financial services.
• Strong hands-on experience with multiple programming languages, including Python.
• Experience with Java, C# or similar enterprise-grade technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps: source control, work item tracking, release management.
• Experience with Visual Basic and SQL.
• Experience with Azure Data Ecosystem: ADF, Data Lake, Databricks, Blob storage, Azure SQL Databases.
• Strong understanding of data engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and refinement of a robust, scalable solution architecture.
• Translate existing VB code to Python and expand functionality.
• Extract data from online and internal sources using various ingestion methods.
• Utilize Azure data tools (ADF, Data Lake, Databricks, Blob storage, Azure SQL) to build end-to-end data solutions.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and engineering standards.
• Build DataMarts and Databricks workflows populating the DataMart per the data model.
• Participate in full project lifecycle and produce required artifacts.
