Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior Data Developer in Mandaluyong City for designing and implementing projection rules and dataflows using Python. The role is full-time with a hybrid work setup.

You will translate VB to Python, develop data pipelines, and utilize Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL to deliver end-to-end data solutions while adhering to governance standards. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a developer and/or data engineer, preferably in banking/financial services.
• Strong hands-on experience with multiple programming languages, including Python.
• Experience with Java, C# or similar enterprise-grade technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps: source control, work item tracking, release management.
• Experience with Visual Basic and SQL.
• Experience with Azure Data Ecosystem: ADF, Data Lake, Databricks, Blob storage, Azure SQL Databases.
• Strong understanding of data engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Developer to design and implementing projection rules and dataflows using Python. This position will be full-time and hybrid at Mandaluyong City.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the design and refinement of a robust and scalable solution architecture
• Translate existing code from VB into Python and expand the code to include additional functionalities
• Extract data from relevant online and internal sources using a variety of ingestion and integration methods
• Utilize technical components such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Databases, and Power BI to design and implement end-to-end data solutions
• Ensure full compliance with ADB Software Engineering standards and data governance practices
• Build data pipelines and Databricks workflows that populate the DataMart in accordance with the approved data model
• Participate in the full project lifecycle and complete required project artifacts in accordance with established methodologies and standards

What You'll Need

• 5 years of experience as a developer and/or data engineer preferably for the banking sector and financial services sector
• Strong hands-on experience in multiple programming languages, including extensive prior work experience with Python
• Candidates with experience across languages such as Java, C# or similar enterprise- grade technologies are strongly encouraged
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including source control, work item tracking and release management
• Experience in working with Visual Basic and SQL
• Experience with Azure Data Ecosystem with tool such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Blob storage and Azure SQL Databases
• Strong understanding of data engineering best practices

Preferred

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
• Experience in setting up DataMarts
• Experience in PowerBI and/or Tableau
• Experience working with ITIL and/or Scrum/Agile frameworks
• Experience in developing infrastructure and deployment automation scripts for Azure environments
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments, DevOps based delivery framework
• Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
• Numerical, analytical and ability to take decision based on data analysis
• Able to liaise with relevant IT teams to develop effective solutions
