Job summary

Adventure Consultancy Solutions Philippines Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Developer to design and implement projection rules within the DataMart and dataflows using Python in a modern Azure-based platform.

You will lead other data developers and help shape a scalable solution architecture in a banking/financial services context. The role requires strong Python experience, a solid background with Visual Basic and SQL, and hands-on Azure Data Factory/Data Lake/Databricks expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Accounting.
• At least 5 years as a developer or data engineer, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Extensive hands-on Python experience; exposure to Java, C#, or similar enterprise technologies is a plus.
• Experience with Visual Basic and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with the Azure Data Ecosystem (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Blob Storage, Azure SQL) and Azure DevOps.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-900 and/or DP-900 and above are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate existing Visual Basic code into Python and extend it with new functionalities.
• Build end-to-end data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Databases, and Power BI.

• Extract and integrate data from online and internal sources through automated ingestion methods.
• Provide technical leadership to fellow data developers and ensure timely delivery of development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with software engineering standards and data governance practices.

About the Role

Our client, a multilateral financial institution, is modernizing its long-term, bank-wide financial projection system by replacing legacy Excel, VBA, and Oracle-based models with a scalable architecture built on the Azure Data Ecosystem and Python. As Senior Data Developer, you will design and implement projection rules within the platform's DataMart and dataflows, provide technical leadership to other data developers, and help shape a robust, scalable solution architecture.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement projection rules within the DataMart and dataflows using Python.

• Hands-on experience with the Azure Data Ecosystem (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Blob Storage, Azure SQL) and Azure DevOps. Azure certifications such as AZ-900 and/or DP-900 and above.
• Nice to have: DataMart setup, Power BI/Tableau, ITIL or Scrum/Agile, and Azure infrastructure automation experience.
