First Focus is seeking a Senior Data & Business Intelligence Specialist to turn spreadsheets, APIs, and business requests into reliable, scalable solutions. You will bridge software engineering with data engineering, working across warehousing, lakehouse design, pipelines, and governance.

Strong Python/SQL/PySpark skills and Power BI expertise are essential. You will operate in a hybrid role with modern tools and client-facing projects, shaping enterprise data platforms for better decisions

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience delivering enterprise data solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and PySpark.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks or Snowflake.
• Expertise in data warehousing and BI-focused modeling.
• Experience building batch and streaming pipelines.
• Knowledge of Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architectures.
• Experience with external APIs for data ingestion.
• Security, governance, and data quality practices.
• Azure cloud services and AI Foundry familiarity.
• CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Power BI semantic models and reporting experience.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience in Agile consulting environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modern enterprise data warehouses and lakehouse solutions.
• Develop scalable, reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build reporting, dashboards, and BI solutions that users actually adopt.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytics requirements.
• Design robust data models supporting operations and strategy.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security and performance.
• Develop integrations between business systems and data platforms.
• Contribute to application development projects using modern web frameworks or low-code.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and Agile delivery.
• Continuously improve data architecture, automation and reporting.
