Job summary

First Focus AU is seeking a Senior Data & Business Intelligence Specialist to transform spreadsheets, APIs, and business requests into reliable data solutions. You will partner with stakeholders to shape enterprise data platforms spanning warehousing, lakehouse design, pipelines, reporting, governance, and integrations.

You will work with modern tools, contribute to architecture decisions, and thrive in an ownership-focused team that values clear problem-solving and practical results.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience delivering enterprise data solutions.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and BI-focused modelling.
• Develop batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with APIs to ingest and integrate data.
• Familiarity with governance, security, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise data warehouses and lakehouse solutions.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build reporting and BI solutions that business teams will actually use.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather analytics requirements.
• Design data models supporting operational and strategic decisions.
• Ensure data governance, security, and performance across platforms.
• Develop integrations between business systems and data platforms.
• Contribute to application development using modern web frameworks or low-code platforms.
• Participate in design reviews and Agile delivery practices.
• Continuously improve data architecture and reporting capabilities.
