MicroSourcing is hiring a Senior GCP Data & AI Engineer (Supervisor) to lead data and AI initiatives from a remote Philippines setting. You will design data models, connect data sources, and deliver AI-powered analytics across clouds, using BigQuery/GCS, Looker, and MCP.

The role emphasizes autonomy, leadership, and client-facing collaboration, with day shifts and WFH flexibility. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of GCP hands-on experience, strong SQL/Python skills, and familiarity with Gemini

Qualifications

• Senior data-and-AI background with strong commercial experience.
• Working knowledge of data warehousing / lakehousing on BigQuery + GCS.
• Data modelling, schema design and RBAC.
• Commercial Gemini / generative-AI experience — agent creation, conversational analytics, RAG / grounding, MCP.
• Strong SQL and Python.
• GCP certification: highly preferred but not mandatory; strong candidates considered without.

Your Role

As a GCP Data & AI Engineer (Supervisory), you will:

• Build the conversational, agentic Gemini Enterprise capabilities that are the core offering—connecting client data and delivering AI agents and conversational analytics on top.


• Connect and model client data for Gemini Enterprise across clouds and sources, utilizing your knowledge of data lakes/warehouses on BigQuery and GCS.


• Apply sound data modelling, schema design, and role-based access control (RBAC).


• Enable self-service analytics for non-technical users through agent creation and knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol).


• Deliver governed, trusted data and insight via Looker, building to standardized, observable, multi-tenant patterns for managed-service readiness.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Senior / lead data-and-AI background with strong commercial experience.


• Working knowledge of how data warehousing / lakehousing on BigQuery + GCS is set up and operates.


• Data modelling, schema design and role-based access control (RBAC).


• Commercial Gemini / generative-AI experience — agent creation, conversational analytics, RAG / grounding, and knowledge of MCP.


• Strong SQL and Python.


• GCP certification: Highly preferred, but not mandatory. Strong candidates without certification can still be considered.


• GCP experience: Ideally 3–5 years of hands‑on GCP experience.


• Technical leadership and delivery oversight — able to operate autonomously and guide others.


• Strong communication skills — this role liaises with client heads and leads to build early rapport.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Vertex AI, Agent Builder / ADK, Model Garden.


• Multi-cloud / Snowflake exposure.


• Looker experience (dashboards, semantic modelling / LookML).
