Job summary

MicroSourcing seeks a Data and Automation Consultant to translate customer requirements into actionable work, design scalable data pipelines, and collaborate across teams to onboard customers and improve data delivery. You will drive automation, troubleshoot issues, and maintain documentation while advocating data governance and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, CS, IT, or related field.
• Experience implementing and supporting data, analytics, or BI solutions.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, ETL, and data pipeline development.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams on customer-focused technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into detailed scopes of work, including implementation plans, effort estimates, and project costing.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, reusable code, and data models to deliver reliable and scalable analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with implementation, technical operations, and cross-functional teams to streamline customer onboarding and improve data delivery processes.
• Drive automation initiatives by improving implementation workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/DataOps practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support ongoing product releases and customer integrations.
• Maintain technical documentation, knowledge libraries, and quality standards across implementation projects.
• Mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance, code reviews, and best practice recommendations.
• Promote data governance, security, and access management in line with organizational standards.

Your Role

As a Data and Automation Consultant, you will:

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Experience implementing and supporting data, analytics, or business intelligence solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in delivering customer-focused technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience with DevOps/DataOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience developing reusable code libraries and optimizing data solutions for performance and reliability.
• Professional certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, or other relevant data technologies.
• Experience mentoring team members and contributing to technical documentation and quality assurance.
