Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join a team responsible for hardened VM images in AWS and Azure. You will drive CI/CD pipelines, scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash, and automation for image creation and remediation.

The role requires expertise in CIS Benchmarks (L1/L2), OS hardening across multiple OSes, and a proactive approach to security challenges. Excellent collaboration and continuous learning are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of IT experience
• At least 3+ years of specialization in image hardening
• At least 2+ years of Python development
• At least 2+ years with Terraform
• 3-5 years managing and securing multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with native security tools

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure VM images via automation and scripting
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for image deployment and management
• Design end-to-end automation for image creation, validation, testing and deployment
• Create and maintain runbooks, hardening guides and diagrams
• Conduct OS hardening across RHEL, Rocky, OEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu and Windows
• Build automated patching for Linux and Windows images
• Apply CIS L1/L2 to identify and remediate vulnerabilities automatically
• Support audits with evidence, reports and remediation plans
• Enhance pipelines with security validation and integrity checks
• Perform peer reviews of scripts and IaC templates
• Collaborate with cloud, architecture and security teams
