Job summary

Manulife Financial is seeking a Senior Analyst, Credit Analysis to evaluate the creditworthiness of investment securities supporting the portfolio and to provide credit insights for informed investment decisions.

You will conduct fundamental credit analysis, develop financial models, monitor issuers, and present recommendations to investment teams in the U.S. and Canada, while growing expertise in global credit markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, investment analysis, corporate banking, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit metrics, and financial modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental credit analysis and assess issuer credit risk.
• Prepare credit reviews, recommendations, and internal credit ratings.
• Develop financial models and analyze financial statements and credit metrics.
• Monitor portfolio issuers, market developments, and emerging credit risks.
• Present credit recommendations and insights to investment professionals and stakeholders.
• Support process improvement, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
