The Senior Copywriter (L2) is a senior individual contributor responsible for translating brand and business strategy into clear, compelling, and effective communication across assigned accounts. The role owns copy quality from brief interpretation through final delivery, provides reasoned creative recommendations, and helps protect the integrity and consistency of each brand voice.
Unlike an execution-only writer, the L2 writer is expected to lead workstreams with growing independence, anticipate risks, improve briefs and ideas, guide junior contributors when needed, and earn the confidence of Creative Directors, Account teams, and clients.
Own copy development for assigned accounts from briefing, concepting, and presentation through revisions, quality assurance, and final turnover.
Assume progressive Lead Copy responsibility for at least one key account after completing the required onboarding and account-readiness gates.
Interpret business, audience, channel, and brand requirements; identify gaps or contradictions in briefs before work begins.
Develop campaign platforms, key messages, content systems, scripts, social content, digital copy, and other agreed deliverables appropriate to the account.
Maintain brand voice, strategic alignment, factual accuracy, language quality, and consistency across outputs and channels.
Present and defend copy recommendations using clear strategic reasoning rather than personal preference.
Manage revisions with accountability: distinguish objective requirements from subjective feedback, resolve conflicts, and protect the agreed communication objective.
Conduct disciplined self-QA and peer review before materials reach the Creative Director, Account team, or client.
Flag quality, scope, timing, information, or approval risks early and propose workable solutions.
Partner closely with Art, Accounts, Strategy, Production, and other functions to build integrated creative work.
Coach or support junior writers and contribute constructively to critiques, calibrations, and team learning sessions.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Exceptional grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using editing tools and software such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and content management systems.
Excellent collaboration skills.
Receptive to challenges and constructive feedback, with a growth-oriented mindset.
Embraces the agency lifestyle of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
Proven experience as a Copywriter, preferably in an agency.
Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices
Our office is located along Mother Ignacia Ave., South Triangle, Quezon City.
